In the winter of 2007, a voice as clear as a blue sky said to Marie –

“God is not somewhere out there, Marie. God is in you.”

And so ended her lifelong search for God, for meaning, for soul. Instead, a journey began of realizing that Marie and God – that all of us and God – are one in the same. But before this journey began, Marie hit a painful, rocky bottom.

Born in the Soviet Ukraine, Marie was ostracized and ridiculed for having a Jewish father. Then, when her family moved to Israel, people found fault in the fact that she had a Christian mother. According to Judaism, the child is of the religion of the mother, and so Marie was considered Christian in a Jewish state. She was not one of them.

This constant hatred towards her for having parents of the wrong religion in the wrong country brewed inside of Marie, and she became horribly confused. She developed a complete resistance to God.

To seek refuge from this poor treatment, she moved to the states, hoping to finally be free from this persecution. In fact, Marie wanted a break from things involving God altogether. She’d had enough of this great tyrant in the sky who condemned her because of religions her parents didn’t even practice.

In the states she found liberation, but her suffering continued in other forms. She had an energy about her which created the experience of suffering, something she realized later on in life, and so she brought it along with her no matter where she was.

She suffered through painful relationships, and physical illness that all but destroyed her body, though she was still very young. For years she had trouble breathing, could hardly eat anything without becoming overwhelmingly sick, and she had an unbearable pain in her neck which nearly immobilized her.

Yet no matter how many doctors she visited, none of them could determine the source of her suffering. All tests were normal. And so out of a mixture of fear, desperation, and the passionate desire to overcome these illnesses and live a happy life, Marie searched for God. She was cornered. God was her only option. Little did she know at that time that the higher power was her. And in fact, she would go on to help others worldwide find God in themselves as well.

On that day in 2007 when that voice spoke to Marie – her path toward self-realization and healing took off at an alarming pace. And that same voice guided her to transforming her life from one of suffering to one of unconditional love.

When Marie became full of unconditional love, that brought her to her calling, and she realized herself as a healer, messenger, and teacher altogether. She opened a practice in Atlanta devoted to helping others establish their own connections to God, to themselves. And of course, she continued her own journey to connecting to the love and light which she discovered was inside of her all along.

It is from this path to self-realization that Healing God was created – but Healing God was just one product of Marie’s constant process of transformation.
